Hi! The Western Grand Alumni Homecoming and the Exclusive Batch 77 Reunion Party have both taken place and yes, both were a huge success! That everyone had so much fun would be an understatement!!! We are yet preparing the photoalbums to hold the "massive" photos availaible hehe but as a tickler, here's a PHOTO of the entire batch at the exclusive party last June 12. (Can you spot your HS classmates and teachers?) We hope we can get some discussions going at our Balitaktakan page on these two memorable events. (Would you want to start them?? hehe) Balitaktakan. Hi. We are the 1977 highschool graduates of Western Colleges in Naic, Cavite, Philippines.

Let us tell you a little story...

More than 30 solid years since we graduated and who knows what's happened to whom. Na-lift na ang Martial law, nag EDSA 1 and 2 na, may Jollibee na sa Naic, lumaki na ang Alma Mater natin, dami ng nangyari.. A few of us have managed to make up for lost time whenever an opportunity to get together comes. Those times however are few and far between. While technology has overtaken most of us, we wonder why we're not using it for our benefit. (hmmm...)

This simple website attempts to rekindle the love... the highschool spirit that's never lost. Sabi nga "there is something about your friends from childhood... You can just look at each other and smile and everything goes clicking inside, the times together, the deep laughter, the memories of days..." Though we may not see one another often, the magic is that when we finally get the chance, there's always the feeling that we "just graduated". Like a flash, we are able to continue where we left off.

So how did we come up with the idea? The essence can be found in Annie's email in 2006. (Yes, we only started exchanging emails in 2006, after many many years..:-D {the year this website was started as well.}) Following is the email of Annie (who is now based in the US with her family) to me, Flors, Allan and Joji.  Here's publishing some excerpts with her permission.

(Date: Feb. 2006)...ako kasi it's been so long na hindi tayo nagkikita pero in a way nagkakabalitaan once in a blue moon. Si Jojie kahit nasa same area kami,...bihira din kaming magkita. Pag mayroon okasyon - birthday or mayroon coffee party (patay). Mahirap din dahil sa pamilya. Kaya I'm in a mission and do help me out. Although I know this is way too far pero mabuting magplano nang maaga. I know I mentioned this to Techit and Flors. Sana umuwi tayong lahat (Batch '77) nasa iba't ibanglugar sa 2010 at umattend ng high school reunion...Alam kong medyo masakit sa bulsa ang pag-uwi at siyempre kasama ang pamilya pero at least we have 4 years to save up, di ba. Kaya kung mayroon kayong alam na phone number or email address ng ating mga classmates or schoolmates, pakibigay sa akin. Matagal ko nang sinasabi kay Jun Gumere na gagawa ako ng spreadsheet to compile all info ng ating batch. I started a few pero I think it's na worth para i-distribute sa inyo.Let me know your thoughts on this.Take care, (signed) Annie
